SAKALA Jewellery House
The House · Est. 1976

A bench,
then a standard.

Sakala did not begin as a house. It began, in 1976, as one cutter's refusal to set a stone before it had found its best light — a habit that turned, over five decades, into a Jayanagar landmark and a name Bengaluru families have trusted across three generations.

In Sequence

How the house was built

1976

The first bench, Jayanagar

A single cutting bench on 33rd Cross, a handful of commissions a month, and a refusal to rush the light-test — the habit the house is still built on.

1994

Heritage collection founded

Motifs from three generations of sketchbooks were formalised into the house's first named collection.

2012

The store, rebuilt

Shop No. 1 and 2 at Lakshmi Venkateshwara Arcade were joined into one showroom, so collection pieces and bespoke commissions could finally sit under the same roof.

2026

Sakala today

Fifty years, one light-test, a 4.8-star rating from over 320 customers, and a client list that now spans three generations of its own.

What Doesn't Change

The standard behind every piece

The stone decides

No setting is drawn until the stone has been turned under three lights. The design waits on the gem — never the reverse.

One hand, start to finish

A single artisan carries a bespoke piece from wax to polish, so no handoff ever dilutes an idea.

Traceable materials

Every stone and gram of gold is sourced against a paper trail we're willing to show a client who asks.

Jayanagar, Bengaluru

The store

Shop No. 1 and 2, Jayanagar 4th T Block, 33rd Cross, 11th Main, Lakshmi Venkateshwara Arcade — the same street the house was founded on in 1976, now holding the full collection archive, our bespoke commission bench, and a showroom our regulars have watched grow for three generations.
